DCHS girls’ cross country team wins first ESIAC conference championship

GEORGETOWN – On Thursday, Oct. 19, the Delmarva Christian High School girls’ cross country team hosted Worcester Prep and the Salisbury School in the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) Championships.

By race’s end, the DCHS girls’ clinched the Conference Championship win with the score of 26.

It marked the girls’ first-ever ESIAC cross country title.

Freshman Kinley Woodard placed first overall (23:53), while freshman Haley Pinkstaff (third) and senior Emelyn Owens (fifth) placed in the top five.

Woodard won the “Conference Runner of the Year” award, and her time of 23:53 marked her personal best.
