Millsboro Middle School FFA members hold tributes from State Senator Brian Pettyjohn and Sussex County Councilman Rob Arlett for the upcoming National FFA Week.

Students discussed with these elected officials their ties to the agriculture industry and they shared their FFA/agriculture interests and dreams.

The Millsboro Middle FFA program strives to develop a student’s potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education. Many of the MMS students will not become farmers, but all will be a participant in the agriculture industry as consumers. It is important the future leaders in our community have the leadership skills FFA can develop and hone.

In addition to knowledge of where their food is coming from and the impact agriculture has on our community.  The National FFA Week, Feb. 17-24, is a time chapters across the United States celebrate this youth leadership organization with special activities.

The Millsboro Middle FFA Chapter will be participating in community service, school and district activities that the students have been planning the past months.
