One minor injury reported in crash involving school buses, dump truck

According to Delaware State Police, no students were injured and one bus driver sustained a minor injury in a crash involving a dump truck and three school buses Thursday morning at the intersection of U.S. 113 and Fitzgeralds Road.


LINCOLN – Delaware State Police Thursday morning responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving three school buses and a dump truck.

State police spokesman Cpl. Gary Fournier said crash occurred around 7:35 a.m. at the intersection of DuPont Boulevard (U.S. 113) northbound and Fitzgeralds Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates there were no students on two of the buses and six students on the other bus had no reported injuries.

There is one reported minor injury to an adult school bus driver, Cpl. Fournier said.

Details of the crash will be released upon completion of the investigation, Cpl. Fournier said.
