League of Women Voters hosting forum for IRSD District 1 candidates

GEORGETOWN – The League of Women Voters of Sussex County will hold a forum for Indian River School District 1 candidates on Monday, May 4.

The forum will be held at the Georgetown Public Library, 123 Pine Street, Georgetown, starting at 6 p.m.

Incumbent board members James E. Hudson and James E. Fritz are being challenged by Miquel A. Pirez-Fabar for the two seats in District 1.

Candidates will give a short speech introducing themselves to the voters, followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.

The forum will be conducted according to the rules of the League of Women Voters.

On May 12, a candidate for each of the two seats will be elected for a five-year term that runs from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2020.
