Indian River district offering tuition-based pre-kindergarten

FRANKFORD – Indian River School District will offer a tuition-based pre-kindergarten program for the 2018-19 school year.

Children age 3 and 4 years prior to Aug. 31, 2018 are eligible for the program, which will be held at the Indian River School District Early Learning Center at the G.W. Carver Center in Frankford.

The fee for the half-day program is $250 per month and $2,250 for the school year (nine monthly installments).

Classes will be held in a morning or afternoon session each day beginning on Monday, Sept. 10.

Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from the Early Learning Center.

Children will be chosen for the program by a random lottery.

Parents must submit applications by Monday, Aug. 13.

Parents will be notified of selection to the program by Aug. 15.

Students selected for the program must participate in screening to assess their language skills, motor skills and understanding of basic concepts.
