DAGSBORO – The application deadline is approaching for a new scholarship offered by the Indian River High School Alumni Association.

The new IR Pride Scholarship for current alumni will award $500 to one Alumni Association member at any college level, from associate to post-doctorate student, to help continue the education process.

Applications are due by Monday, June 1.

Interested alumni can register online for free. The application and requirements are online at www.IRHSAlumni.com.

These scholarships aren’t about academics or financial aid, but your service as a student or alumnus of Indian River High School. All are invited to respond to the question “How have you contributed to make IR a better place?”

Again this year, the IRHSAA will award $1,000 scholarships to three Indian River High School seniors. The awards celebrate school spirit beyond traditional academics and/or athletics.

The nonprofit IRHSAA formed in 2012 to connect alumni, while supporting and promoting IRHS. Scholarships are funded through community generosity at the Alumni Association’s annual FUN-raiser, which this year was held in April.

Indian River High School Alumni Association meets monthly and always welcomes new members.
