Wanted fugitive located in Delaware

LAUREL – A multi-jurisdiction team this week located a fugitive in Delaware wanted for failing to appear for sentencing in Maryland following his conviction on a drug charge, Maryland State Police report.

A warrant had been issued for Keith E. Sivels, Jr., 24 from the Circuit Court in Wicomico County for failure to appear for a sentencing hearing on a conviction of possession with intent to distribute drugs (heroin).

Investigation by the Maryland State Apprehension Team/Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, a multi-jurisdiction team of state, federal and local police, led them to a residence in the 7000 block of Sharptown Road in Laurel.

Investigators surrounded the home and ultimately located Sivels inside. He was arrested July 11 without incident. Sivels waived extradition and was transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
