According to state police spokesman Cpl. Gary Fournier, the charges stem from four separate incidents that occurred at the end of October.

Authorities allege Mr. Ciabattoni would take stolen cell phones and sell them at the Game Stop located on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach.  In one case, Mr. Ciabattoni allegedly shoplifted a cell phone from the Atlantic Cellular Store, also located on Coastal Highway, and went to the Game Stop to make the illegal transaction, Cpl. Fournier said.

On two occasions, Mr. Ciabattoni entered his ex-girlfriends residence in Oak Forest MHP in Millsboro and took jewelry and money before fleeing and pawning the jewelry.

Mr. Ciabattoni is also wanted out of Lewes Police Department for numerous counts of theft, Cpl. Fournier said.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of David A. Ciabattoni Jr., is asked to contact Corporal B. Cordrey at 703-3298.  Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword “DSP.”
