Tips lead to arrest of M&T Bank robbery suspect

SEAFORD – Through anonymous and investigative tips the suspect in the June 30 robbery of the M&T Bank on Stein Highway is behind bars.

Seaford city police have charged this man, William Bramble of Laurel in the June 30 robbery of the M&T Bank on Stein Highway.

Seaford police detectives arrested William Bramble, 28, of Laurel on robbery and related charges, Seaford Police Department spokesman Lt. Richard Jamison.

The defendant was apprehended by Blades Police on July 2 while walking down the street.  He was processed at the Seaford Police Department, arraigned at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 in Seaford and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute without bond pending a preliminary hearing.

The robbery occurred at about 9 a.m. June 30 as a white male entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
