Suspicious package temporarily disrupts traffic on The Circle

GEORGETOWN – A suspicious package that disrupted traffic on The Circle in Georgetown Friday morning was found to be office equipment.

Georgetown Police Department spokesman Det. Joey Melvin said a black plastic case was found lying against an exterior wall of the Sussex County Administration Building at about 7:25 a.m. Friday.

Georgetown Police, assisted by the Delaware Capitol Police K-9 unit, investigated and determined the package contained miscellaneous office equipment and posed no threat.
