Suspect sought in October theft

LONG NECK – Delaware State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify a theft suspect who took money and a gift card from a wallet left in a shopping cart.

The woman at right is sought by state police in connection with the theft of money and a gift card from a wallet left in a cart at Weis Supermarket market.

The incident occurred Wednesday, Oct. 25 at approximately 6:58 p.m. in the parking lot of Weis Supermarket, located at 24832 John J. Williams Highway, according to Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe.

The female depicted in the surveillance photo is suspected of finding a wallet left behind in a shopping cart.  Before discarding the wallet, the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash and a prepaid gift card.
