State police: Woman found dead in Long Neck McDonald’s bathroom

LONG NECK – Delaware State Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found dead in the bathroom of a local McDonald’s restaurant Saturday evening.

State troopers responded shortly after 7 p.m. June 10 to the Long Neck McDonalds, located at 24943 John J. Williams Highway, following a report that a female subject had been found unconscious in the ladies’ bathroom, state police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

Sussex County paramedics responded. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The investigation into the death of the female subject is in its early stages and foul play is not suspected,” said Cpl. Fournier.

The Delaware Division of Forensic Science personnel removed the woman’s body for autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
