State police warn public of skimming devices

STATEWIDE – Delaware State Police Financial Crimes Units are currently investigating several locations in which skimming devices have been reported throughout the state.

These devices have been primarily placed at ATM’s and gas stations, including two in Sussex County, according to state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe.

Due to the large number of victims, the Financial Crimes Unit has been working with local businesses and financial institutions to identify potential victims and suspects.

State police remind citizens to be vigilant and monitor your accounts closely. If you have used your payment cards at the following locations listed below between Jan. 1, 2018 to present., state police ask that you review your accounts for fraudulent activity and contact the law enforcement agency where you live or where the illegal activity was completed.
