Seaford: Gas station robbery suspect arrested

SEAFORD – City of Seaford police arrested the suspect in the robbery of the Valero gas station on Stein Highway Monday evening.

Glen Eskridge

With information from a citizen, police arrested Glen Eskridge, 48, on charges of robbery first degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest with force, criminal mischief, theft under $1,500 and disorderly conduct, Seaford Police Department spokesman Senior Cpl. Investigation revealed that an individual entered the Valero with a crowbar, threatened the clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Shortly after the robbery, a citizen went into the Valero and was told by the clerk of the robbery that had just occurred. This citizen recalled seeing an individual matching the suspect description and called police to alert them of his whereabouts.
