Robbery at M & T Bank in Seaford

SEAFORD – Seaford city police are seeking the suspect who robbed the M & T Bank on Stein Highway Thursday morning.

According to Seaford Police Department spokesman Capt. Gary Flood, a white male gave a note to a teller demanding money. The note stated he had a weapon; although no weapon was displayed during the robbery, Capt. Flood said.

Seaford city police are seeking this suspect in their investigation of the robbery of the M & T Bank on Stein Highway Thursday morning.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction.  The scene was secured and numerous officers scoured the area along with a K-9 from Bridgeville Police Department but the suspect was not located.

Suspect description is 20 to 30 old, with a dark beard and dark hair; he was wearing a white T-shirt, cargo shorts and blue tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.

Seaford Police Criminal Investigations Division is handling the investigation.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons involved.
