Rite Aid robbery suspect arrested

MILLSBORO – Delaware State Police on Saturday arrested the suspect sought in the April 5 robbery of Rite Aid store on John J. Williams Highway.

Christopher Radcliffe

Christopher Radcliffe, 39, of Millsboro was located at a residence in the 31000 block of Legion Road and taken into custody without incident, state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Radcliffe was transported to Troop 4 and arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 on the following charges: robbery first degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and violation of probation.  He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $102,000 cash bail, Cpl. Jaffe said.

The robbery occurred on April 5 when a suspect, later identified as Radcliffe, entered the business, approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.  The clerk complied, turning over an undisclosed amount of money to Radcliffe, who fled the business.

The store clerk was not injured.
