Public safety focus of June 20 forum in Millsboro

MILLSBORO – What threats face southern Sussex County; how are first responders reacting; and what can you do help keep your family safe?

Those are among the probable questions at an upcoming public meeting being sponsored by State Rep. Rich Collins, R-Millsboro, and State Sen. Gerald Hocker, R-Ocean View.

The public safety forum will be held June 20 at the Millsboro Fire Company, located at 109 E. State Street, Millsboro.

The forum will start at 6:30 p.m.

Representatives from the Millsboro Police Department, Delaware State Police, Sussex County paramedics, Millsboro Fire Company, Delmarva Power and other organizations will make brief presentations and take questions from the public.

“Providing a safe environment for homes and families is the foundation of any thriving community,” Rep. Collins said.  “I am grateful for the participation of all these agencies and I urge anyone with an interest in public safety to take part.”
