Pennsylvania robbery suspect apprehended in Seaford traffic stop

SEAFORD – City of Seaford police apprehended a wanted fugitive from Pennsylvania during a traffic stop Saturday morning.

Officers May 26 at 10:24 a.m. stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at Sussex Highway and Herring Run road.

The passenger initially provided a false name and was subsequently identified as Daniel Turner, 43, of Reading, Pa.

Turner was found to have an active warrant for robbery from the Reading Police Department, according to Seaford Police Department spokesman Senior Cpl. Eric Chambers.

Turner was taken into custody and charged as an out-of-state fugitive. Turner was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 3 and held without bail pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.
