Millsboro: Troopers investigating home invasion

MILLSBORO – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred north of Millsboro early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m. May 28 in the 20000 block of Mrs. Catherine Lane, state police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

Investigation revealed a 28-year-old woman was sleeping in the living room with her three sons, ages 9, 8, and 5.

The woman woke to an unknown black male standing over her armed with an unknown type handgun.

The intruder ordered her to go into another room, but she refused. At that time one of her sons woke up and she screamed for him to run out of the house.

The startled intruder fled out the front door in an unknown direction. Nothing was taken from the residence, state police report.

The woman and her three sons were not injured in the incident.

Suspect description is a black male, 5-5 to 5-8 tall, weighing 140 to 160 pounds. He has black hair and was wearing all black clothing and a mask covering his face.
