MILLSBORO – A Millsboro man died Saturday in a head-on collision when his vehicle crossed the center line into the path of another vehicle.

Robin Slacum, 55, was pronounced at the scene of the crash that occurred about 5:23 p.m. on John J. Williams Highway (SR 24) east of William Street Road, state police spokesman Cpl. Jeffrey Hale said.

Authorities do not yet know what caused the Toyota Corolla Mr. Slacum was driving to drift into the path of a 2013 Nissan Quest driven by Melissa Enck, 34, of Georgetown.

Mr. Slacum, who was not properly restrained at the time of the crash, was extensively trapped in the vehicle, Cpl. Hale said.
