Millsboro man faces multiple drug charges

MILLSBORO – Authorities arrested a Millsboro man on multiple drug charges Thursday morning.

Troopers with the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force in conjunction with the Delaware Probation and Parole Sussex Street Unit arrested 26-year-old Tyree R. Oliver, state police spokesman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Oliver was a probation absconder who had a Rule 9 warrant from Superior Court for drug charges, a Violation of Probation capias from Superior Court and a capias out of the Justice of the Peace Court 3 for failure to pay fines, Cpl. Jaffe said.

Oliver was taken into custody without incident at a residence in the 23000 block of Mission Road at about 8:50 a.m.

A search of the residence yielded over $1,000 in illegally obtained drug proceeds, approximately 1,780 bags of heroin (12.46 grams), and drug paraphernalia.

Oliver was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Oliver was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $20,000 cash only bond.
