Jeffrey M. Parson

State police were dispatched to the 26000 block of Sea Mist Court where a 40-year-old Millsboro man told troopers he was stabbed in a fight with another man, later identified as 33-year-old Jeff Jeffrey M. Parson, state police spokesman Master Cpl. Michael Austin said.

The man, who sustained an upper torso stab wound, told police the male subject also struck and damaged the windshield of his vehicle. He was treated at the scene by EMS and taken to an area hospital.

Crime scene investigation led to the recovery of a bloody knife  in front of a residence adjacent to the where the assault occurred, Cpl. Austin said. Further investigation positively identified Parson, who was apprehended at a nearby residence.

Parson was charged with one count each of Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony and Criminal Mischief Under $1,000. Parson was then arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $101,000 cash bail.
