House, vehicle in Coverdale Crossroads struck by bullets

BRIDGEVILLE – Delaware State Police report a house and a vehicle in Coverdale Crossroads were struck by bullets in their investigation of a shots-fired complaint.

The incident occurred sometime early Saturday morning, state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Troopers responded just before 2 a.m, Sept. 8 to Mill Park Drive but initially found nothing suspicious. Attempts to reach the subjects at a residence in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive were unsuccessful.

Several hours later, a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman reported to troopers at Troop 5 that their residence had been shot at, Cpl. Jaffe said.

Follow-up investigation revealed the house along with a vehicle had been struck by bullets.  There were no reports of injury.
