Pupillo faces charges of 5th offense driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended or revoked and failure to remain within a single lane.

The crash occurred April 26 at 3:59 p.m. on Lewes/Georgetown Highway. Investigation revealed a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Pupillo crossed the center line and struck a GMC Sierra pickup truck. Pupillo was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. He was then transported to Troop 4 and charged.

A DUI investigation on Pupillo was initiated when troopers detected an odor of alcohol. A computer check revealed Pupillo had four previous DUI convictions.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.
