Since Conaway’s arrest Aug. 22 for the alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman on June 20, the Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit identified five additional victims all stating they were sexually assaulted by Clay Conaway, state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Two victims stated they were sexually assaulted by Conaway in 2013, one case is from an incident in 2017, and two additional incidents occurred in 2018, Cpl. Jaffe said.

On Sept. 24, Conaway was indicted on six counts of second-degree rape involving five separate incidents. Conaway’s next court appearance is currently scheduled for Oct. 1, 2018 in Sussex County Superior Court.

Back on Aug. 22, Conaway was indicted for first-degree rape for the June incident. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $70,000 secured bond.
