Frankford man arrested on hunting violation

GEORGETOWN – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers arrested a Frankford man July 15, following an investigation into antlered white-tailed deer being shot out of season.

Michael T. Hyson Jr., 30, was charged with one count of possession of unlawfully taken antlered deer and six counts of deer tagging violations – failure to attach tag to antlered deer, failure to retain tag on antlered deer, failure to retain tag on antlerless deer and three counts of failure to attach tag on antlerless deer.

He pled guilty to one count of possession of unlawfully taken antlered deer in Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown. Mr. Hyson was fined $1,245, including court costs and had his Delaware hunting privileges revoked for two years.

The DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife recognizes and thanks the majority of anglers, hunters and boaters who comply with and support Delaware’s fishing, hunting and boating laws and regulations.
