Frankford area burglary suspected arrested

FRANKFORD – Delaware State Police arrested a Frankford man in connection with a burglary and an attempted burglary of a residence.

Cody L. Daisey, 30, faces charges of burglary second degree, attempt to commit burglary second degree, possession of burglar tools, two counts of attempt to commit theft, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, said state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe.

Troopers on Friday, Aug. 17 responded to the 57000 block of Lizzard Hill Road for a possible burglary in progress.  A witness provided police with a description of a suspect who was attempting enter the front door of the residence and fled on a blue beach cruiser-style bike.

Troopers located Daisey riding a bicycle on Central Avenue and Old Cemetery Church Road. As they approached Daisey fled on his bike, and then on foot.  Daisey was subsequently taken into custody without incident.  Troopers found a socket wrench and drug paraphernalia on Daisey, Cpl. Jaffe said.

Daisey was taken to Troop 4, where state police learned that on Dec. 13, 2016, he had entered a residence on the 35000 block of Bayard Road, Frankford, through an unsecured door.  No items were taken during this incident, Cpl. Jaffe said.

Daisey was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released after posting $26,500 secured bond.
