Milford man killed in crash near Laurel

LAUREL – Delaware State Police on Thursday released the name of the motorist killed Aug. 25 in a single-vehicle crash on SR 24 as Kentrell A. Savage, 24, of Milford.

Investigation revealed the crash occurred around 8:10 p.m. Aug. 25 when a 2005 Cadillac CTS heading west on Laurel Road (SR 24) just west of Christ Church Road at a high rate of speed failed to negotiate a moderate left curve, state police spokesman  Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

The vehicle struck a drainage ditch, flipped and then rolled over during which the unbelted driver was ejected and landed on the road.

Mr. Kentrell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing the investigation into this incident.
