Civilian response to active shooter training May 15 in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN – Georgetown Presbyterian Church in conjunction with the Georgetown Police Department will host “A Civilian’s Response to an Active Shooter” training event Tuesday, May 15.

Georgetown Police Lt. Tom Tyndall will present the training in Tunnell Fellowship Hall of the church, located at 203 North Bedford Street.  The session will begin at 7 p.m.

Training will include appropriate individual response during an active shooter situation, including how to react, what do to and what not to do before first responders arrive.

This training is free and open to the public.
