Briggs King sponsoring public safety/public works forum

LONG NECK – Rep. Briggs King is inviting constituents to attend a public safety/public works informational forum that she is sponsoring later this month.

The public meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb 24 at 6 p.m. at the Long Neck CHEER Center, located in the Shoppes at Long Neck.

The following organizations have been invited to participate and to address the following topics:

  • Delaware State Police Troop 4: Crime report for communities in the Long Neck area, as well as any crime prevention efforts that are currently underway by Delaware State Police;
  • Sussex County Emergency Medical Services: Update on EMS services in the Long Neck area;
  • Sussex County Constable’s Office: Update on code enforcement efforts in the Long Neck area, including information on procedures for reporting county code violations, investigating the complaints, enforcing the code, etc.;
  • DNREC: Septic system update for residents of Winding Creek.

The public is invited to this informative meeting to share questions or concerns with the invited participants.
