SEAFORD – Thomas E. Brown, Senior Vice President for Nanticoke Health Services and President of the Nanticoke Physician Network has been elected to a two-year term as chair of the Delaware Hospice Board of Trustees.
Mr. Brown has been a member of the board since March 2013.
Delaware Hospice was founded in 1982 to provide better end-of-life care. Since that time, it has remained the only not-for-profit hospice in the state, committed to its mission of providing the highest quality of hospice care to the communities it serves.
At the heart of hospice care is passionate concern for individuals and their families coping with the most critical time of their lives.
Delaware Hospice empowers individuals and their caregivers with education to provide comfort and personal care.
The goal of Delaware Hospice is to provide a holistic approach that considers the combined medical, personal, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual, who, along with loved ones, are living with a life-limiting illness. Delaware Hospice’s unique programs extend beyond traditional hospice care and include the New Hope Program’s specialized support for grieving children and teens and its Transitions Program’s non-medical assistance for seriously-ill individuals.
