“Kelly Porter took the heroic action on Feb. 20, 2015 during a snow event in Seaford to help one of our distinguished Seaford citizens and life member of the Seaford Fire Dept. members. Her swift and deliberate action saved the life of our member,” said Mr. Marvel. “We will be honoring her with a proclamation with all the state and local representatives.”

The Seaford Fire Department will also be honoring Ryker Lyons for “his dedication to the Delaware fire service.

“His promotion of the fire service at his young age has inspired many in the greater Seaford area,” said Mr. Marvel.
