Charles C. Allen, Jr. Leadership in Philanthropy Award

The Charles C. Allen, Jr. Leadership in Philanthropy Award recognizes those who promote giving back to the community and in doing so, encourage others to do the same.

The Trinity Foundation and Trinity Logistics team members have energized others to support what they are passionate about while serving and giving back to our communities.

Locally and across the country, Trinity Team members work all year, organizing activities and fundraisers, from the local golf tournaments to weekend yard sales, doing whatever it takes to support important community needs. Many Seaford community organizations, including Nanticoke Health Services, are beneficiaries of the hard work and dedication of this very special group of people. In total, this has amounted to more than $600,000 that they have put back into the community.

The Trinity Foundation has supported Nanticoke’s Cancer Care Center, Cardiac Catheterization Unit, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and other areas. A few of their events also have provided an opportunity for Nanticoke staff to participate and show support – such as the annual 5k walk/run and the annual Big Pink Volleyball Tournament, which raises funds for cancer patients to purchase wigs, provide travel and help support any other needs they may have.

Founders Award

The Founders’ Award recognizes those individuals who have furthered the mission of Nanticoke Health Services and improves the health of our communities.

Ms. Cook Marsh was recognized for her dedication and commitment to Nanticoke Health Services as a member of the Nanticoke Health Foundation Board and former member of the Parent Board of Nanticoke Health Services, Community Health Board, co-chair of Nanticoke’s Dinner Auction and past Auxiliary President. She began volunteering at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in 1988 and is still a volunteer today with nearly 8,000 hours of service over the years.

Ms. Cook Marsh’s involvement in the community has not been limited to Nanticoke. She is a member of Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford and has served over the years as the President of the Women’s Association, co-chair of the kitchen, volunteering as a youth counselor, and singing in the choir. She is a member of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) and the Seaford Historical Society.
