Millsboro Highway/SR24 pavement project: Lane, shoulder closures start July 18

MILLSBORO – Delaware’s Department of Transportation has announced lane and shoulder closures will begin July 18 for a pavement/rehabilitation project on Millsboro Highway/SR24.

The following locations will have lane and shoulder closures daily with minor delays:

  • SR 24/Millsboro Highway from Laurel Road to Kendall Street;
  • SR 24/Millsboro Highway from Laurel Road to Nine Foot Road;
  • SR 24/Millsboro Highway from Maryland/Delaware state line to Nine Foot Road

This project is anticipated to be complete within 110 calendar days, pending weather.

Work will consist of hot mix patching, milling, and overlay of the travel lanes, asphalt shoulders, and turn lanes.

Work hours will be from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, pending weather. If necessary, the contractor may work Saturdays.
