State police arrest Lewes man on kidnapping, other offenses

MILLSBORO – Delaware State Police on Thursday arrested Michael H. Debarr, a 27-year-old Lewes man wanted for kidnapping and other charges.

Debarr was wanted in connection with an alleged incident that occurred Sunday July 16. State police say Debarr physically assaulted his girlfriend after forcing her into his vehicle and would not allow her to leave, according to state police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.

Debarr was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $9,300 secured bond.
