Lane closures with SR 26 improvement project modified

OCEAN VIEW – Delaware’s Department of Transportation has announced that lane closures on the SR 26 Mainline Improvement Project have been modified.

Daily lane closures associated with the SR 26 Mainline Improvement Project will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8, earlier than originally indicated.

Motorists should anticipate daily lane closures from Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning.  Lane closures will not occur on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays prior to Oct. 1.

In the best interest of the project schedule and impacts to motorists and the community, DelDOT determined the modification to the schedule would not cause signification impacts to traffic by implementing the daytime lane closures. The project completion date of September 2016 is still anticipated.
