G & E and Hocker’s stores generate Alzheimer’s Association support

OCEAN VIEW – G & E and Hocker’s Stores in Millville and Ocean View completed their annual forget-me-not sales for the month of July, raising $8.800 as sponsorship for the Rehoboth Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Gokhan Kazanc was the top cashier in sales who sold 1,280 forget-me-nots, followed by Ruth Ann DeVault, with 1,266, and Donna Lee Blanchard who sold 1,009.

Since 2007, the Hocker stores have raised $71,148.20 for the Alzheimer’s Association and donated $9,600 free advertising on their billboards.

When thanked for all of his support, Sen. Hocker stated, “It is our family of customers that makes it possible.”

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Sept. 29 at Grove Park in Rehoboth Beach. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m..

There is no registration fee, but walkers must raise $100 to earn an event t-shirt.
