Southbound Del. 1 reopened; some Sussex roads remain closed due to high water

BETHANY -Closed Friday due to high water, Coastal Highway (Del. 1) southbound has reopened between Fred Hudson Road and Dewey Beach, but Del. 1 northbound remains closed between Fred Hudson RD (RD 360) & Dewey Beach, Delaware’s Department of Transportation announced Saturday morning.

Del. 1 will see intermittent closures in this area throughout the storm.

Other roads closed due to high water, as of 10 a.m. Saturday:

Primehook Road

Rt. 16 eastbound from Rt. 1 to Broadkill Beach

Front Street (Rt. 88) in Milton (Rt. 88 & Rt. 5)

River Road between Road 297 & Road 312A

Longneck Road

Falling Point Road between Rt. 26 to Rd 343

Roads will remain closed until water has receded to a safe travel level.
