CHEER’s 8th Annual Car, Truck & Bike Show features salute to America’s car clubs

This beautiful green 1965 Cobra was among the attractions at the 2017 CHEER Car, Truck and Bike Show. This year’s event is Saturday, Aug. 4 at the CHEER Community Center.

GEORGETOWN – A salute to America’s car clubs will be featured Saturday, Aug. 4 during CHEER’s 8th Annual Classic Car, Truck and Bike Show.

The public is invited to enjoy this free, day-long event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CHEER Community Center on Sand Hill Road, east of Georgetown. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

The show will feature approximately 100 vehicles, including Mustangs, Jaguars, Corvettes, Ferraris, Thunderbirds, Porsche and many others.

There will also be business displays, a silent auction and a live auction.

Trophies will be awarded in several categories.

This year event salutes Car Clubs of America.

A Gourmet Champagne Bunch will be offered with tickets ($25 apiece) available at the door. The buffet will feature over 64 feet of food including prime rib, crab dip, carved ham, steamed shrimp, breakfast items and more. Gourmet desserts will also be included.

Classic and antique vehicles were among the many on hand at last year’s CHEER Car, Truck and Bike Show.

Tickets will be on sale to take home a battery-operated Electric Ride on Jeep. Tickets to win “Big Foot” are $5 each or five for $20. It will be given away at the end of the day and the winner does not have to be present.

Show registration is $25 per vehicle or $50, which includes two brunch tickets.

All proceeds from these events support the CHEER Nutrition Program and Meals on Wheels.
