Battle of the Bartenders brews support for Greater Georgetown Chamber

GEORGETOWN – A spirited fundraiser brewed barrels of fun and grand support for the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce the evening of May 17 at Mulligan’s Pointe in Georgetown.

Five celebrity bartenders – CHEER Marketing Director Anthony DelFranco, Sussex County Administrator Todd Lawson, Milton Elementary School teacher Allison “Ali” Peet, 16 Mile Brewery sales representative Zoe Seavey and Georgetown Mayor Bill West – stepped behind the bar in a four-hour fundraiser.

Tips for the celebrity bartenders and a donation from Mulligan’s Pointe raised nearly $1,300 for the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Peet, known as Ali the Money Maker, garnered the most money in tips and received a champion’s tiara.

A correspondence from Kevin Thompson, Director of Operations for Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce summed up the event.

“We couldn’t have done it without our celebrity bartenders and the many, many people that came out to enjoy drinks, dinner, and fun. We’re already looking forward to next year!”

All tips and proceeds benefit the Georgetown Chamber.
