Georgetown’s ‘One Empty Seat’ ceremony moved to Dec. 7

GEORGETOWN – Town of Georgetown’s dedication of POW/MIA National Chair of Honor “One Empty Seat” has been moved from Veterans Day to Pearl Harbor Day.

Originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 11, the dedication will now be held Monday, Dec. 7.

The dedication ceremony right in front of Georgetown Town Hall on The Circle will start at 5 p.m.

The public is invited to attend this event which will be held rain or shine.

The POW/MIA National Chair of Honor initiative was created to help recognize and honor the more than 92,000 American soldiers who have been unaccounted for since World War I.
