Sign of downtown revitalization offers welcome to Millsboro

A Phillips Signs crew prepares to place the new “Welcome to Downtown Millsboro” sign at the lot near the Dairy Queen flanked by Washington Street and Main Street.

MILLSBORO – A visible sign of Millsboro’s growth and revitalization was literally put in place Friday.

Millsboro Town Manager Sheldon Hudson gives “thumbs up” to the new sign welcoming folks to downtown Millsboro.

The town’s new “Welcome to Downtown Millsboro” sign is now a functioning amenity, located near the Dairy Queen on the western edge of the downtown district between Washington Street and Main Street.

“Another downtown revitalization project comes to fruition – many more to come,” remarked Millsboro Town Manager Sheldon Hudson.

The sign, put in place by a Phillips Signs crew, provides the time and temperature.

It features the Millsboro town emblem in appropriate color scheme.

In addition, news and information  will also be shown on the LED display, and potentially advertisements.

“In fact, the town may eventually sell ad space,” Mr. Hudson said.
