Youthful patriotism on parade July 4 at St. Mark’s in Millsboro

MILLSBORO — Millsboro will be on parade in patriotic colors July 4 with the 12th Annual Children’s Celebration and Parade.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.  at the labyrinth of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, located at the corner of State and Ellis Streets.

Children are invited to dress up in red, white, and blue, decorate bikes, wagons, strollers and even the family dog.

Following a brief patriotic ceremony which includes the beautiful voice of Sussex County’s own Cathy Gorman, children dressed in patriotic colors and costumes will parade on the church grounds to the St. Mark’s Parish Hall.

Each child will receive a special gift for participating.

There will be a children’s activity table.

Hot dogs, chips, desserts and beverages will be provided.

In the event of rain, the celebration and parade will be held in St. Mark’s Parish Hall.
