Temporary street closure for Festival Hispano

GEORGETOWN – Several sections of North Race Street in the town of Georgetown will be closed temporarily for Festival Hispano, the huge Hispanic festival being held this Sunday.

Town Manager Eugene Dvornick announced Monday North Race Sept. 18 will be closed from Pepper Street to East Laurel Street from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from East Laurel Street to East Market Street from 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Festival Hispano will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

It celebrates and showcases the diversity of Hispanic cultural heritage in Southern Delaware through music, song and dance performed by local and out-of-state groups, traditional arts and crafts, and food with emphasis on Latino cuisine.
