Sussex Central drama club to stage ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’

GEORGETOWN – Sussex Central High School’s Take Two Drama Club next week will present its third major production of the year: “Around the World in Eighty Days.”

The production by Laura Eason with special permission of Broadway Play Publishing is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Feb. 25-26.

Showtime for both nights is 7 p.m.

The play is based on the famous novel by Jules Verne. It is a fun, free-wheeling adaptation that is appropriate and entertaining for all ages.

The cast includes the Sussex Central Drama Department’s sixth-period play production class.

Tickets are $5. Middle school students will be admitted on a two-for-one rate.

No one will be turned away for inability to pay.

All proceeds support further productions for Take Two and Sussex Central High School.
