Sussex Central drama club staging ‘You Can’t Take It With You’

GEORGETOWN – The Take Two Drama Club and the Sussex Central High School Drama Department will present Kauffman and Hart’s “You Can’t Take it With You” on May 19 and May 20.

Both performances begin at 7 p.m.

“This classic American comedy is our first play – in over a decade – entirely directed by a student,” says SCHS drama teacher David Warick. “Senior Jess Plitt has done an amazing job directing the cast and crew during this production.”

Following the misadventures of the wacky Sycamore family at the end of the Depression era, “You Can’t Take it With You” has been a perennial favorite of high school drama departments.

Ticket prices are $5 for everyone.

No one will be turned away for inability to pay. Proceeds support future Take Two/SCHS dramatic productions.

The box office opens at 6 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at the door.
