Scary creatures of the night will again roam the Haunted Forest at Roxana Volunteer Fire Company, which opens tonight.

ROXANA – Roxana Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Haunted Forest opens this evening.

The Haunted Forest will also be open Oct. 17-23-24-30-31 from dusk until 10 p.m. each night. Cost is $12 per person.

This year, the fire company’s Halloween extravaganza features two less scary Frightless Delight events for young children.

Frightless Delight s are scheduled this Saturday, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission for children, preferably 12 and under, is $2 a head; accompanying parents/guardians get in free.

Frightless Delight attendees receive complimentary trick-or-treat bags and treats and goodies from “friendly” creatures. There is also a costume contest.

The annual Halloween event is one of the fire company’s major fundraisers.

The Roxana Volunteer Fire Company is located on Del. 20 (35943 Zion Church Road, Roxana), just south of the Roxana Road (SR 17) intersection.
