‘LOVE LETTERS’ playing at Dickens Parlour Theatre in February

MILLVILLE – The Dickens Parlour Theatre will play host to LOVE LETTERS, a play by A.R. Gurney with weekend performances Friday through Sunday Feb. 16-18 and Feb. 23-25.

LOVE LETTERS chronicles a 50-year relationship of childhood friends. The friendship develops into a star-crossed romance and is told through a series of letters, postcards and correspondence that reflects the characters’ hopes, dreams, ambitions, victories, disappointments and defeats.

Starring in the play will be Liane Hansen, an American journalist, radio personality and Emmy Award Winner for her work and narration on the documentary Women In News, and Bob Kemp, a professional actor who has been in over 100 productions ranging from TV, movies, commercials and voice-overs.

A local celebrity around the Delmarva Peninsula, Mr. Kemp is best known as the whacky guy on the Holly Kia commercials: “Guaranteed!”

Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Located on Atlantic Avenue west of Bethany Beach, the Dickens Parlour Theatre is a 60-seat parlour-style theatre featuring world-class performers year-round in an intimate setting.
