Final Seaford Kiwanis Foundation Golf Tournament June 12 at Hooper’s Landing

SEAFORD – There’s good news and bad news regarding the Seaford Kiwanis Foundation Golf Tournament.

The Kiwanis Club’s 29th annual tournament is set for Friday, June 12 at Hooper’s Landing in Seaford will be the last.

“The Club is sad to report this will be the last tournament,” said Kiwanis member Ron Breeding.

The proceeds from this event will go to the Club’s Foundation endowment, which provides scholarships for deserving senior students each year.

Since its conception nearly 100 local students have received funds totaling over $200,000.

Any business wishing to sponsor a special event or donate a door prize is encouraged to participate this year. Those wishing to play should register immediately.

The tourney is limited to the first 96 entrants.  For registration information, contact Ralph Palmer at 629-7054.

The entry fee of $95 will include buffet lunch, round of golf and cart, hospitality cart, and an awards party.

Every participant will receive a bag of goodies and one of the numerous door prizes.

Awards up to $400 for the winners and certificates for closest to the pin and straightest drive, putting and pitching will be available to all golfers.
