Del Tech’s Red, White & Blue 5K supports veterans, first responders

GEORGETOWN – Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Red, White & Blue 5K Thursday, Sept. 7 at Delaware Technical Community College’s Owens Campus.

All proceeds benefit Del Tech’s scholarships for veterans and first responders.

The 4th Annual Red, White & Blue 5K will be held Thursday, Sept. 7 at Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown.

The event offers a 5K run and a one-mile walk.  It includes a post-race cookout, family-friendly fun and games and t-shirts for all pre-registered runners and walkers.

The 5K/Mile Walk begins at 6 p.m. rain or shine at the Owens Campus Student Services Center. Registration opens at 5 p.m.

Adult registration is $25 by Sept. 4; $30 after and the day of the event.

Entry fee for students, military and first responders is $10.

Stay-at-home support can be made via Silent Marcher donation of $25. Silent marchers receive a t-shirt.

There are various age group awards.
